ARTIST STATEMENT

PHOTOGRAPHY. This is a visual experience that reaches beyond the realm of traditional photography. The work encompasses a broad subject matter and visual spectrum. There are two strengths to his work. The first is presenting what people fail to notice in their busy schedule. Second is framing the image so your eyes and mind so you focus on the intended subject matter.

CONTEMPORARY ART. The work provides multiple styles and the base-medium is photography. The styles use natural tones and hues to create an energy that is attractive to both the mind and spirit. The work reaffirms that color and imagery can capture your interest. Kaleidoscopography produces vibrant patterns that are rich with the original image’s color, hues and tonal properties. This has produced several approaches that have created stunning design studies and collections. Theses approaches have been shared with other styles to expand the work’s perspective. One prevalent approach within Kaleidoscopography is how the viewing distance changes the perspective and experience. The second style, The Zurich Collection, pushes the design envelope and color palette’s limit to create elegance, power and energy. By deft manipulation of color and image elements, Robert Neff has produced art that encourages reflection, peace, passion, prosperity and inspiration.

WRITING. A published writer, he has contributed newspaper and business articles and written vignettes. But since 2002, his voice has found its calling in prose. His first work, Selected Works from Reconnecting With Life uses prose to reevaluate his journey and life’s direction. This is a collection of five volumes: Private Reflections, Personal Observation, Social Commentary, Romantic Interludes and Compassion and Empathy. Though each has the strength to stand on its own, each volume shares a common thread.
